Fund 57 Rumyantsev general inventory of the Little Russia
971 items, 1765-1769

  In 1765 due to implementation of imperial rule, by directive of Catherine the Great, in 10 regiments of Left-Bank Ukraine governor-general Rumyantsev established committees for population census, recording of land fund and other property, revision of documents and the right of starshina (Cossacks officership), monasteries, churches, landlords for freehold of land, forests, lakes etc.  2nd  Collegium of Little Russia was in charge (1764-1786) of the committees. Committees had to stop work due to Russo-Turkish war (1769). Population census was not completed. General or Rumyantsev inventory of the Little Russia was formed from materials compiled by committees. A part of Kiev regiment inventory is kept in manuscript department of Ukrainian public library.

The fund consist of general inventory committee' documents from Chernigov, Gadyach, Myrgorod, Poltava, Starodub, Kharkiv regiments.
